Ordered a MIDI USB keyboard today

I’ve spent a bit of time messing around with Garageband in the stores (before I bought my Mac). David Jones in Sydney has a machine setup with a MIDI USB keyboard where one can use Garageband, etc. Since I bought my Mac (which came with iLife ‘05), I’ve been wanting to use Garageband. So.. Running out of network ports

What does one do when one runs out of network ports near one’s desk? Back when I was installing the computer network in my house (pre IP PBX days), I never envisioned needing more than two network ports at my desk. Accordingly, that’s all I installed. Right now I have three devices on my desk that require a network port.

To my absolute shock, I just received an email from Apple. It seems that my Mac Mini has shipped out already. “Today” is not the 2 weeks I was originally quoted. If my single order from the Apple Store in the past is anything to go by, I’ll have it tomorrow. I can’t wait!
