This Weekend

I spent this weekend at Justin’s house. We went and seen Final Destination (see previous journal post) and spent the remainder of the time doing our usual things together 🙂 I got some late birthday presents as well. Sharon got me a gift voucher for Richmond Records (a music store) so I bought “Don’t Say a Word” on DVD. Justin

Final Destination 2

I seen Final Destination 2 this evening with Justin. The movie wasn’t the best movie, but it was satisfactory and provided some release from the world for 90 minutes. Those who have seen “Final Destination” would know about John Denver’s “Rocky Mountain High” playing soon before somebody dies. In the second movie this song was featured once, in an elevator

Gangs of New York

This evening I decided to visit Sharon who is a close friend of both my mum and I. We went out and grabbed a quick bite to eat before going to see the movie “Gangs of New York” starring Leonardio DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis and Cameron Diaz. “Gangs of New York”, despite being extremely violent, was a very good film. Anybody

Two Weeks Down

The first two weeks of University for the year have finished without a hitch. I have bought two books so far with two remaining. I’ll also have to pay my fees soon which will leave me nice and broke for a little while. Nothing much else has happened recently

Printer out of ink

Murphy’s law says “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong” and it always prevails. Today as I was preparing my subject folders to go back to University the time came to print the Unit Outlines for my subjects (normally around 20 pages each). Naturally 5 pages into printing the printer decided to run out of ink. Coincidentally only this morning

New Mobile Phone

I’ve been using Nokia for quite a few years now. In fact my first mobile phone was a Nokia “100”. Unfortunately in my opinion Nokia have “lost the plot” with their current designs as they’re all hideous. As it was time for me to buy a new mobile phone (which I do every 1-2 years) I decided to leave Nokia

Busy

Well, not much journal activity over the past few days as I have been busy working. My business Largenets is going quite well. The hosting division is seeing a few signups each week and I’ve been meeting with a company in Sydney regarding developing a new IT system for them. However, as I’m under an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) I

University Timetable Chosen

At 10:00am this morning, the University opened their “Platform Web” system so that students in IT courses could choose their timetable from the comfort of their own homes (or anywhere where there is a computer with Internet access). My timetable isn’t the best, but it’ll do. The timetable is as follows: Monday: Tuesday: Wednesday: Thursday: Friday: Mornings are earlier than

Haircut

I got my haircut today – an ordeal that one has to go through every few weeks 🙂 I also took back some books to the University that I had out for a few weeks. Other than that nothing has happened – same old boring life that I lead.

Losing My Virginity

I finished reading Richard Branson’s autobiography “Losing My Virginity” this week. I actually bought the book on board a Virgin Blue flight a few weeks ago and have been reading it when time permits. “Losing My Virginity” provides a fascinating and inspirational insight to the man that is Richard Branson. I’d recommend this book to anybody 🙂
