turnitin.com

Well, it seems that the web crawlers from turnitin.com have been having a feast on my site.

Their front page describes themselves as “Turnitin.com - the world’s leading plagiarism prevention system.”.

In less than 24 hours, no less than 3000 hits have been registered - their bot has hit some pages over 60 times. As a matter of fact, in my statistics the four hosts that this crawler visits from are ranked numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 in data transfer by KB and 1, 2, 4 and 5 in number of hits.

So far it has died down, but if their constant bombardment of hits doesn’t stop then they shall be blocked from this site. I certainly doubt that there is any information on here worth plagiarising.

On a more pleasant note, Google has spent the last few days crawling my site. Google is always welcome and crawls the site at a more leasurely pace of one page every few minutes. I’ve certainly never seen Google in the top visitors list.
