Header Image now random

You’ve probably noticed the photo at the top of every page on my site – up until now it has been the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This evening I was feeling a little bored, so I created two new images and a php image randomiser script. Whenever you view a page, one of three images is randomly selected and displayed. All

Journal Spam

I suppose every journal/blog is incomplete without comment spam, and I just noticed my first lot of it. Fortunately it was all deleted with a few keypresses.

Off to Cairns in May

I’m off to Cairns in May for a few days. As I’ve never been up to Cairns I’m looking forward to the trip. I usually stay in Mercure hotels (or any Accor brand) when travelling, so I’ve decided on the Mercure Harbourside. Flights are booked with Qantas as always. I’ll be flying on their Airbus A330-201 aircraft in both directions.

My Apple Products

My Apple keyboard and mouse arrived in my absence. So that I can get used to them, I’ll probably end up using them with my Windows XP laptop until the Mac Mini is here. I can’t complain about the shipping time – they arrived two days after I ordered them.

Finally Home!

The flight into Sydney was rather pleasant. I was rather tired and ended up sleeping most of the flight (only waking up when we pulled up to the terminal in Sydney). What wasn’t pleasant was the welcome home present from Cityrail. There were no trains back to my place from the airport (I live on the airport line, so I’m

On my way home

After a niew few days away, I’m now sitting at Brisbane Airport waiting for QF561 back home. I noticed that the Qantas terminal at Brisbane has wireless coverage by two providers – Telstra and Optus. As I’d never used Optus wireless, I thought I’d give it a try. I signed up, paid the $13.20 (which included an hour of access)

Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort

During my time up in Queensland, we decided to spend the weekend a Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort on Moreton Island. As I write this I’m sitting in the hotel room after a somewhat adventurous trip over (note to self: take the resort ferry, instead of the Moreton Island barge next time). Now that I’m here, I’m looking forward to a

Airport Wireless

Many people get rather frustrated sitting around an airport waiting for their plane to board. It isn’t always the case anymore though. I’m currently sitting in the boarding lounge at Gate 1 of Sydney domestic airport (Qantas terminal) and am boarding in 15 minutes. Thanks to my laptop and wireless technology, I have full access to the Internet and my

Purchased Mambo Italiano

As per this journal entry, Mambo Italiano was one of my recent Homescreen movies. I took quite a liking to the movie and ordered it from DVD Station on Monday at a very reasonable $19.95. The DVD arrived in today’s mail with a bonus – a packet of M&Ms 🙂 This was the first time I’ve used DVD Station, but
