After a niew few days away, I’m now sitting at Brisbane Airport waiting for QF561 back home.
I noticed that the Qantas terminal at Brisbane has wireless coverage by two providers – Telstra and Optus. As I’d never used Optus wireless, I thought I’d give it a try.
I signed up, paid the $13.20 (which included an hour of access) and tried to login – nope. I ended up trying around 5 times before giving up and trying the Telstra wireless (which worked the first time).
It was a waste of money and I’m somewhat annoyed, but I’ll know to stick with the Telstra hotspots in the future – at least they work.
As for the flight itself – it looks like I’m travelling on VH-VXQ, which is a Boeing 737-838. I requested an exit row on check-in, so I’m seated in 14A.
