Photography Moved

The photography system has been moved again. All DNS entries are now pointing to the new location, but there may be a delay whilst ISP caches expire. This site now resides on three servers; two Plesk servers in the Rackshack Datacenter and a CPanel server in the Detroit Networks datacenter.

Subdomains more consistent

I’ve made some changes to the DNS and subdomains are now consistent among the various domains. For example, whereas previously only journal.shaunewing.com worked – now journal.shaunewing.org works also. Whereas previously only media.shaunewing.org worked – now media.shaunewing.com works also. Because I was required to redelegate the domains to the Largenets DNS servers to set this up, there may be a day

Whoops DNS!

I was screwing with the DNS last night – moving DNS for all three servers over to the main Largenets DNS servers – ns1/2.largenets.net When I done this I made a small oversight and didn’t set the server as authoritative for shaunewing.org So, some incorrect results were being returned. Going Going Gone!

Well, my mum would have left for QLD early this morning to live. I hope she has a safe trip and that the traffic isn’t too bad. I have university holidays in April, so I’ll most likely fly up then for a week. By this time they (mum and sister) should have well and truly settled into their new home.

Journal Moved

I’ve moved the journal to its own subdomain; journal.shaunewing.com Everything seems to be working fine. Any requests for the old location will automatically be redirected to the new location so all is well.

Journal System

Yesterday evening I made some changes in the journal to make it more search engine friendly. You’ll notice this by the filename – journal.php/year/month instead of journal.php?year=year&month=month. However, I made one small oversight. Because this appears to web browsers to be a folder, some links were broken. These have now been fixed and I’ll be going through the database to

Photography System

So far the integration of the new photography system is going well. The photography is now located at http://photography.shaunewing.org. Now that the integration seems to be complete, more categories and images will be added soon. Currently this site is spread over two different servers. The main shaunewing.com domain and email is located on a Plesk server in the Rackshack datacenter.

Photography – City Collection

The City Collection in the photography section is now back online. I’ll be getting other sections online over the next few days. With my trip to Melbourne next week I’ll be able to add some more photographs to the city collection. I’ll also try to get into Sydney again sometime over the next few weeks to take some more photographs.
